- Rail
Poland is the second largest rail market in Europe, with a large share of international traffic and transit. There are two important transport corridors linking Europe with the Baltic states and Scandinavia in Poland. The total length of the rail-track accounts for 20,665 km. - Marine
There are four ports of fundamental importance for the national economy (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Szczecin and Swinoujscie) and 57 other ports and harbors. The prospect of growth is 10-15% over the next 5 years.The Polish maritime fleet of merchant ships in 2003-2009 was increased: by 3.4% in terms of number of vessels and 12.8% in terms of capacity. The volume of container traffic is growing fairly regularly for years at a rate of 10-15% per year, and analysts estimate that it will steadily increase until at least 2015. - River Transport
There are 3,997 km of inland waterways in Poland. The rivers: Odra (particularly in the vicinity of Szczecin), Vistula (particularly between Gdańsk and Warsaw), Warta and Noteć form the most important inland waterways. The main ports for trade are situated on the south of the Baltic Sea. - Roads
Road transport is the fastest growing segment of freight. The volume of transport between 1990 and 2005 tripled. In 2005 the share of road transport market was 61%. Now the total length of roadways within Poland is 423,997 km. According to the National road construction programme for the years 2011-2015 there will be 2,085 km of motorways and 5,466 km of express roads in Poland by 2013. - Air Cargo
